"She waits for me!"
Princess Briar Rose is tough, brave, gutsy and unrefined. Prince William is sweet, sensitive and imaginative. They were made for each other. Too bad they're a century apart, separated by an evil curse of eternal sleep. Still, true love always finds a way, even if the star-crossed royals need to outwit and outfight spiders, witches, barbarians, folk dancers, life coaches and the world's worst renaissance festival.
"Sleeping Beauty" continues the partnership of Lena Gabrielle, Greg Kerestan and Anthony Marino in their biggest and most ambitious work yet. Equal parts fantasy epic, family story and Monty Pythonesque adventure, the show packs a punch with a huge choral sound and elements of pop music and Gaelic New Age folk mixed into a conventional musical theatre style, plus lots of roles for a cast of thousands (which can, conveniently, be portrayed by a cast of under twenty quick-changing performers if need be).
